“The ship is always safe at the shore, but that is not what it is built for” – Albert Einstein. Yes, Ansarada Vietnam and PYCOGROUP were my shore in the past several years. I had the most amazing boss, a very high performing team and very supportive co-workers, not to talk about a very stylish office. I had everything that one ever wishes for a … Continue reading My journey at Ansarada
Singapore is now one of the most attractive destinations in Asia, for talents, start-ups and businesses. As curious as it can be about the rich and successful neighbor, I took the course of Singapore taxation as part of the CPA program. Singapore is the one country that I could see that the taxation system has been well put in place to govern the country’s economy. Continue reading Singapore tax
Feb 5, 2016 – the G day. It was not only the last working date before Tet, it was also the last day of Atlassian Vietnam. It was the end of around 3 years working to a prestigious company in tech world.
I did go with this project from the very beginning until the very end of it. This is part of my life, a very meaningful and worth to remember part. Continue reading My Atlassian journey
Inspiring by the loving people working in the company –
I was born and growing up in a very happy family. My family is still like that. I’m blessed and very thankful for our long lasting feeling. But I considered my family as minority nowadays. I’m not sure what gave me such idea. Maybe it is because of the viral news and Internet feeds about cheating, break-up and unhappy relationship. Maybe the society has reached to the level where it is so easy to walk away from a partner. Maybe the YOLO mindset has stopped people from trying their best for their small family, so that they can go for whatever they think that is more important. People say that after the wedding ceremony, love does not exist between the couple anymore. There are only gratitude and the habit of doing things together that remain. War and its consequences are always sad inspirational topics of art. The intensity of battles. The pain of people in the field and at home. The protests against the governmental commitment to endless war…
Together Higher Dance and Robin Becker had successfully brought their work of art to the audiences in Hanoi, Hai Phong and Ho Chi Minh City in September 2015. Peace Over War included two amazing pieces of contemporary dance for the same topic. Same topic but different aspects and styles. Continue reading “Peace over war – two pieces of contemporary dance”
We all dream of a life where we have a happy ending, just like in the fairy tale. Have you ever wondered what happens after the end that are told? Well, somebody already did for you in case you haven’t done so.
What i am trying to say is that you should not expect anything to turn out perfectly. Life is filled with uncertainties. It has been such a week that I personally witnessed how impermanent life can be. Continue reading “Life of uncertainty”
Although the Lexus and the olive tree of Thomas Friedman has been published for 16 years, the concept of globalization is still relevant. I read it again just to find how amazing it is when we map the real life events to what were talked about in the book.
“The olive tree stands for home & identity. The Lexus stands for the development of the modern world. The tug of war between those two happening different ways around the world, in both negative and positive sense.” Continue reading “The Lexus and the olive tree – home vs. the world”
Biking through the mountain road is to see how small I am
All the slopes to go up, then go down
The wind, the fresh air and the sunlights – I expose my body to the good of nature
I feel no pollution, no rush and no pressure
I feel myself – free and wild
Hello to the green of grass and trees
Hello to the blue of the sky together with the white of the clouds
Hello to all the paths with dust, rocks and bushes
Hello to the wildflowers along the road Continue reading “Biking through the mountain road”
Yeap, just as you read – i just have an accident while riding the bicycle down hill of the mountain pass. Is the injury serious? well, it is, enough for me to take some times off from daily life to stay home, hoping for a prefect recovery. That is a real unfortunate. But thanks to it that I realize how lucky I am in this world.
Just before that 1 day, i felt miserable about my life. It was not because I was poor, or I was maltreated by life. I was because I did not know what i was born for. I did not like the way people around me behaving – all about money, two or more faces for favor and power. Continue reading “The accident that helps”
Since I was a kid, the word power came to me so often – power of the manager, of the teacher, of a citizen, etc. I was just old enough to understand that having power was so cool. Having power made people afraid of you and talk about you all the time. With some experiences in life, both of my own, and of people around, I realize that having power means a lot more than that.
Having power means having more information. You, thus, have more time for preparation or for speculation. You can even use your power to hide the information completely or to distort it for your good sake, so that people will not know about it, or know about it wrong. Continue reading “Power”
